BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 5. Crude oil and petroleum products’ exports from Azerbaijan to the US have plummeted by 95.6 percent over the last 10 years, a source familiar with the matter told Trend.

The highest level of imports by the US from Azerbaijan during this period was recorded in 2011 with 13,052,000 barrels, while the lowest level was observed in 2021 with 93,000 barrels.
Azerbaijan exported 26.3 million tons of oil in 2022 with oil production standing at 32.6 million tons.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan exported about 11.7 million tons of oil and petroleum products in general from January through May 2023, which is 3.24 percent more in comparison with the same period last year (11.3 million tons).
In value terms, oil exports exceeded $7.2 billion, which is 10.4 percent, or $83.8 million less than in the same period last year.
