ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 9. The enterprises of the oil industry of Turkmenistan exceeded their production indicators from January through August of this year, Trend reports.
This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan, Batyr Amanov, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on September 8, 2023.
According to him, during the specified period, the oil supply plan by the Turkmennebit State Concern was fulfilled by 100.4 percent.
Furhermore, Amanov stressed that the planned indicators for oil refining at the enterprises of Turkmenistan were fulfilled in the period from January to August of this year by 100.8 percent, gasoline production - by 103.3 percent, diesel fuel - by 104.1 percent, lubricating oils - by 111.8 percent.
He also added that during the period under review, the indicator for the development of investments in the oil and gas sector of the country at the expense of all sources of financing amounted to 111.5 percent.
Meanwhile, as stated by the Turkmen Turkmengaz State Concern, Turkmenistan's hydrocarbon reserves are evaluated to be in excess of 71 billion tons of oil equivalent. This includes over 20 billion tons of oil and more than 50 trillion cubic meters of natural gas.
