BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 29. The Iranian Central Oil Field Company (ICOFC) aims to increase its gas production capacity from Dalan field in Fars Province by 1.5 million cubic meters per day (mcm/d) until December 21, 2023, said Jamal Jahromi, an official of the company, Trend reports.
According to Jahromi, the company currently produces 21 mcm/d of gas from Aghar field and plans to reach 22.5 mcm/d by the same date.
He also said that some operations are planned to deal with the pressure drop in Dalan field over the years.
The official noted that a new 12-inch pipeline of 6 km length will be installed in Dalan field by December 21, 2023, to enhance the gas output.
Jahromi also mentioned that the company’s total production from three fields (Aghar, Dey and Dalan) will increase by 18 percent to 54 mcm/d by then.
Iran’s Dalan field is located near Farashband city. It was discovered in 1975 and started production in 1992.
The ICOFC has 84 oil and gas fields in 11 Iranian provinces. It has developed 13 gas fields and 13 oil fields so far. It can extract about 250,000 barrels of oil and 250 mcm/d of gas per day.
