BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 30. The Iranian Central Oil Zones Company (ICOFC) plans to start extraordinary production from the Dey gas field by the end of the 9th month of the current Iranian year (December 21, 2023), said Jamal Jahromi, an official of the company, Trend reports.
The official stated that it is expected that 3.5 million cubic meters of gas will be produced daily from the Dey gas field.
Jahromi added that production will start from 4 wells in the Dey gas field. The gas produced from this field will be transported to the Farashband gas processing plant.
“After the Dey gas field is fully developed, 15 million cubic meters of gas will be produced daily from this field,” he also said.
The official added that the company’s total production from 3 fields (Aghar, Dey and Dalan) will rise by 18 percent by the end of the 9th month. The gas production capacity of these fields is currently 45 million cubic meters and will increase to 54 million cubic meters.
Reportedly, Dey gas field, located near Firuzabad County contains 120 billion cubic meters of gas reserves.
Iranian Central Oil Fields Company has 84 oil and gas fields in 11 provinces of Iran. So far, 13 gas fields and 13 oil fields have been developed.
At present, the ICOFC has the capacity to extract about 250,000 barrels of crude oil and 250 million cubic meters of gas per day.
