BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 25. Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR was entitled to reserve 1.863 million cubic meters of spot pipeline gas per day from the Turkgozu entry point in December 2023, Trend reports via Türkiye’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).
Moreover, Turkish Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAS) will import 5.131 million cubic meters of gas per day from Kiyikoy and 1000 cubic meters of gas per day from Turkgozu.
Turkgozu is where the South Caucasus Pipeline connects to the Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) at the Georgian-Turkish border.
SOCAR operates in diverse sectors, encompassing oil and gas field exploration, oil, gas, and gas condensate extraction, processing, and transportation, alongside the distribution of oil and petrochemical products in both domestic and international markets. Furthermore, the company plays a crucial role in supplying natural gas to both industrial enterprises and the general population of Azerbaijan, as well as extending its services to Europe.
