Energy Exchange of Iran reveals products to be on sale for December 4

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 4. More than 48,000 tons of various hydrocarbon products will be on sale at the Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) on December 4, Trend reports.

Of the mentioned volume, over 25,200 tons will be on sale on the domestic ring of the energy exchange.

The following goods are to be offered:

- Iranian Abadan Oil Refining Company’s 3,000 tons of CO;

- Bistoon Petrochemical Company’s 3,000 tons of solvent-503 and 2,000 tons of solvent-502 products;

- Zagros Petrochemical Company’s 2,400 tons of methanol;

- Shazand Oil Refining Company’s 2,000 tons of solvent-402 and 1,500 tons of iso-recycle and 1,000 tons of normal hexane products;

- Elixir Halal Assaluyeh Petrochemical Company’s 2,000 tons of Raffinate and 200 tons of normal pentane products;

- Kaveh Methanol Company’s 1,800 tons of methanol;

- Shiraz Petrochemical Company’s 1,700 tons of methanol;

- Bushehr Petrochemical Company’s 1,000 tons of methanol;

- Fannavaran Petrochemical Company’s 1,000 tons of methanol;

- Marjan Petrochemical Company’s 500 tons of methanol;

- Shimibaft Petrochemical Company’s 500 tons of MTBE;

- Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company’s 500 tons of heavy distillate;

- Bushehr Petrochemical Company’s 450 tons of liquid nitrogen products;

- Jam Petrochemical Company’s 200 tons of heavy distillate;

- Tabriz Petrochemical Company’s 150 tons of heavy distillate, 150 tons of mazut, 60 tons of pentane and 42 tons of liquid nitrogen products.

In addition, 23,000 tons of products will be on sale on the export ring of the IRENEX:

- Iranian Shazand Oil Refining Company’s 20,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas;

- Shimibaft Petrochemical Company’s 3,000 tons of MTBE products.

Meanwhile, the value of total sales at the IRENEX was around 20.9 trillion rials (about $49.6 million) during the last Iranian week (Nov. 25 through Nov. 29, 2023), representing a 61.7-percent decline from the previous week (Nov. 18 through Nov. 22, 2023).

Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) sells its products at the SANA exchange rate.

The SANA system is a system introduced by the Central Bank of Iran to the currency exchange outlets, where the price of 1 euro is 458,706 rials and the price of $1 is 421,675 rials.

The sale of hydrocarbon products at the Iran Energy Exchange is of great importance to the country’s economy. Through the energy exchange, Iran seeks to provide hydrocarbon products needed by local companies as well as increase exports.
