ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 11. Turkmenistan's enterprises exceeded their production figures in both production and export of natural gas in the period from January through November of this year, Trend reports.
This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan, Batyr Amanov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
He noted that during the specified period, Turkmenistan exceeded the plan for the extraction of natural and associated gas by 7.6 percent and the production of liquefied natural gas by 16.1 percent.
Furthermore, the Deputy Chairman added that in the first eleven months of this year, the target for natural gas exports to foreign countries was exceeded by 13.8 percent.
Meanwhile, according to the results of this year, gas production in Turkmenistan is expected to exceed 80 billion cubic meters, of which about 73 billion cubic meters will be accounted for by Turkmengaz State Concern, and exports are projected to amount to about 40 billion cubic meters, of which about 35 billion cubic meters will be supplied by the state concern.
