BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 19. Azerbaijan's revenue from natural gas exports for the first 11 months of 2023 has been revealed, totaling $12.8 billion, Trend reports via the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.

This marks a decrease from the corresponding period last year when revenue reached $14.8 billion, reflecting a 13.7 percent year-on-year decline.

Despite the decline in revenue, natural gas exports from Azerbaijan exhibited a notable increase, rising from 18.6 billion cubic meters in the first 11 months of 2022 to 24.4 billion cubic meters in the same period of 2023 - a 30.7 percent growth.

According to the State Customs Committee, the share of natural gas in Azerbaijan's total exports during the reporting period amounted to 40.54 percent, slightly lower than the 40.75 percent recorded a year earlier.

Azerbaijan commenced gas supplies to Europe via the Southern Gas Corridor on December 31, 2020. As part of its plans for this year, Azerbaijan aims to export 12 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe.
