BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 21. Net profit of Iran's Urmia Petrochemical Company grew by 62 percent in the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2023), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.

In 9 months, the net profit of Iran's Urmia Petrochemical Company was around 7.6 trillion rials (about $181 million), as stated in the data from company.

Meanwhile, the company's total revenues for the reporting period amounted to nearly 12.4 trillion rials (about $295 million).

During the 9th month alone (November 22 through December 21, 2023), the company's revenues stood at 1.37 trillion rials (about $32.7 million), representing an 88-percent increase from the same month last year.

The Urmia Petrochemical Company, established in 1990, has a land area of 110 hectares and four plants. It can produce various products such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, ammonium sulfate, potassium sulfate, and crystalline melamine. The company plans to start building a new polyaluminum chloride (PAC) plant by the end of this year (March 19, 2024).
