BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 15. The Baku Oil Refinery, named after Heydar Aliyev, kept gasoline production constant, boosted jet fuel and bitumen production, and decreased production of gas oil, petroleum coke, and lubricating oils in January 2024, Trend reports via the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.
In the aforementioned month, Azerbaijan's overall petroleum product output value declined by 9.6 percent to 303.6 million manat ($178.59 million).
Meanwhile, the State Statistics Committee reported that 115,800 tons of RON-92 motor gasoline were produced (January 2023 level). Due to increasing air travel, jet fuel production climbed by 4.8 percent to 43,700 tons, while petroleum bitumen output increased by 22.8 percent to 12,400 tons.
In January 2024, gas oil (diesel fuel) decreased by 7.4 percent compared to January 2023, to 179,200 tons; lubricating oils decreased by 57.9 percent, to 2,400 tons; and coke oil decreased by 13.3 percent, to 19,500 tons.
As of February 1, 2024, the following stocks of finished products were available in the refinery warehouses: motor gasoline: 38,000 tons; jet fuel: 27,600 tons; gas oil: 107,200 tons; lubricating oils: 3,300 tons; petroleum bitumen: 10,200 tons; and petroleum coke: 46,900 tons.
