ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, April 4. Turkmenistan has some of the most affordable gasoline prices globally as of April 1, 2024, Trend reports.

According to the Global Petrol Prices (GPP) portal, gasoline is priced at $0.429 per liter in Turkmenistan.

The cheapest gasoline price in the world is in Iran ($0.029 per liter), and the most expensive is in Hong Kong ($3.173 per liter).

Apart from to Iran and Turkmenistan, countries such as Libya, Venezuela, Egypt, Kuwait, Algeria, Angola, Malaysia and Nigeria are also among the countries with the lowest gasoline prices.

Liechtenstein, Barbados, Greece, Israel, Norway, the Netherlands, Iceland, Denmark and Monaco stand out as the nations with the highest gasoline prices.

Meanwhile, differences in gasoline prices in different countries are due to different fuel taxation systems and subsidies. Although all countries purchase oil on international markets at comparable prices, the introduction of different taxes leads to differences in retail gasoline prices.
