Azerbaijan's oil production volume for 1Q2024 revealed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 8. Azerbaijan produced 7.3 million tons of oil, including condensate, from January through March 2024, which is 5.2 percent less than in the same period of 2023 (7.7 million tons), Trend reports via the Ministry of Energy.

According to ministry data, the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field block produced 4.2 million tons of oil (compared to 4.7 million tons in January–March 2023), the Shah Deniz field produced 1.1 million tons of condensate (included in oil statistics as liquid hydrocarbons) in the first quarter of 2023, and the Absheron field produced 0.14 million tons of condensate.

"The oil production of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), including condensate, amounted to 1.9 million tons from January through March 2024, the same as in the first quarter of 2023," the data of the ministry of energy shows.

In 2023, Azerbaijan produced 30.19 million tons of oil (7.5 percent less than in 2022), of which 30.08 million tons were marketable crude oil with condensate (a decline of 7.6 percent to 2022).

In 2024, production of crude oil with condensate may reach about 29 million tons.
