ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, April 17. Turkmenistan plans to build a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal for the Seydi Oil Refinery, Trend reports.
According to an official source, Turkmenistan's Turkmengaz State Concern is currently looking for a contractor for the design and construction of a liquefied gas storage, unloading, and loading terminal in the area of the Seydi Oil Refinery in the Lebap region located in the east of the country.
The state concern plans to consider all proposals from interested organizations in the second half of May this year, after which it is planned to finalize the contract with the contractor.
Meanwhile, the Seydi Oil Refinery exceeded the production plan by 10.7 percent over the past year, processing about 489,600 tons of raw materials while releasing 413,000 tons of finished products.
The main share in the production structure of the Seydi refinery over the past year was shared by gasoline (230,000 tons) and diesel fuel (123,600 tons).
