BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. Nearly 300 companies from 37 nations have confirmed their participation in the Baku Energy Week, Project Director for the Baku Energy Week at the organizing company Iteca Caspian Aynura Nazirli said, Trend reports.

She made the remark at today's press conference dedicated to this large-scale event in Baku.

According to her, for the first time, companies from India, Slovenia, and Switzerland will participate in the event, with new companies accounting for 15 percent of all participants at the Baku Energy Week in 2024.

She also mentioned that the moderators will include leaders of leading analytical companies, particularly the Boston Consulting Group.

"A record number of speakers, 77, have been announced for the conference panels at the Convention Center," emphasized Nazirli.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan Jahid Mikayilov said that an individual panel at the conference (on June 6) will be dedicated to green energy.

"This panel will be chaired by Deputy Minister of Energy Elnur Soltanov. He is part of the COP29 chairmanship, and during the panel sessions, there will be many discussions focusing on the upcoming COP29 in Baku in November," added Mikayilov.

Additionally, the invaluable role of the Contract of the Century (Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli), which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, in the development of Azerbaijan's economy will be highlighted during Baku Energy Week.

To note, Baku Energy Week will start on June 4, uniting three important events - the 29th international exhibition Caspian Oil and Gas, the 12th Caspian international exhibition Energy and Green Energy, and the 29th Baku Energy Forum.
