BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 20. Nakhchivan State Energy Service and Turkish state-owned electricity distribution system operator (TEİAŞ) will sign an agreement on energy exchange, Trend reports.
According to the service, an “Operational Agreement” on energy export (exchange) will be signed soon.
Furthermore, during the preparation of the agreement, mutual discussions were held on the condition of transmission and distribution substations, power lines, meter locations, and the field of application of relay protection systems, as well as on the execution of documentation for the conclusion of the relevant agreement between TEİAŞ and the service.
In connection with the electricity export-import relationship between Türkiye and Nakhchivan, ENTSO (European Network of Transmission System Operators) authorized the transmission of 75 megawatts for export (Turkish side must be in passive island mode) and 40 megawatts for import (Nakhchivan side must be in passive island mode).
