The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan receives 40-50MW electricity from Turkey, Azerenerji JSC told Trend.

According to Etibar Pirverdiyev, the President of Azerenerji, every month NAR imports energy to cover its demand in electricity. "Turkish company Tiash has been involved in energy delivery to the NAR since 1992 and supplied $150m worth energy in this period.

The funds should be repaid, though the agreement on energy deliveries does not include the term of repayment," Pirverdiyev underlined.

He also underlined that the debts can be repaid in energy, or in money. However, the issue is under the authority of the Cabinet of Ministers, which is in talks with the Turkish government in this respect.
