LOCATION SITE OF NEW SYSTEM 220-KV SUBSTATION SALYAN DETERMINED

Location site of new system 220-KV substation Salyan was determined. It will locate near the Salyan-Sabirabed highway, the press-service of the Azerenerji JSC told Trend. The management of the Azerenerji visited the place and gave appropriate instructions.

The Salyan substation will serve to qualitative energy supply of the regions Salyan and Bilasuvar. The substation is one of the main sections of the Azerbaijani-Iranian energy chain, which will increase exchange of electric energy between the two countries up to 700MV.

The project also envisages construction of high-voltage energy transmission lines Imishli-Alibayramli SDPS, Alibayramli SDPS-Salyan, Salyan-Masalli, Masalli-Astara, as well as overhaul and partial reconstruction of system substations Imishli, Masalli. The Azerenerji signed agreement with the Iranian bank Eksport on allotment of $75m credit in Tehran in 2004.
