In January to September 2005 Azerenergy produced over 16,303 billion kW/hour of energy, 0,695 billion MK/h up as compared to 2004. The thermo-power stations produced 14,164bn KW/h of the total.
In September the country carried out import of energy from Russia (771,281 billion kW/hour), Iran (452,124 million kW/hour) and Turkey (301,722 million kW/hour).
In September Azerenergy produced over 1,475 billion kW/hour of energy. Hydropower stations produced 208 million kW/hour of energy, while the thermo-power stations вЂ" 1.267bn KW/h
In this period, the country imported 88,616 billion kW/hour from Russia, 40,530 million kVW/hour from Iran and 31,494 million kW/hour from Turkey. The same time 11,220 million Kw/h was returned to Russia and 87,883 million KW/h - to Iran.
By the end of the year energy generation is forecasted to comprise 23 billion KW/h.
Over 21,344 billion KW/h of energy was produced in the system in 2004. The production by hydro-power station made up 2,755bn KW/h.
