Employees of McDermott Caspian Contractors resume work in normal regime

Employees of McDermott Caspian Contractors (MCCI) fully ceased a strike on Tuesday evening and started working in normal regime, Trend reports.

During the strike the employees of the company put forward some demands, in particular an increase of wages.

The senior management of the company held several meetings with the protestors. During the meeting it was decided that the MCCI workers will get bonuses equal to their monthly wages for the successful accomplishment of the “West Azeri” platforms’ topsides, increase of wages by 20%, starting from December 2005, increase of wages by at least 12% from 1 January 2006, as part of the process for revising the annual wage size.
