The Republic Committee of Trade Unions of Oil and Gas Industry Employees (RCTUOGE) will sign an agreement with the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) on application of additional privileges for employees, the Committee told Trend. The
agreement envisages determination of the work aimed at improvement of the social securities of the Oil and gas industry employees from 2006 to 2008.
The Committee noted that they plan to hold a meeting in Baku from 21 to 23 December to develop final version of the agreement. The decision in this regard was made at the special meeting of the organization in mid-autumn.
There are 70,000 oil and gas industry employees in Azerbaijan. A total of 56,000 fall to SOCAR.
