Intensive work over development of a project on utilization of associate gas lifted from Gunashli field to start

Active work on the development of the project on project on utilization of the associate gas extracted from the Shallow-water Gunashli field, operated by the SOCAR, will be set from January 2006,", an official of the SOCAR told Trend. The project will be financed at the expense of the $481,250 Japanese grant, approved by the World Bank.

“We earlier have a relevant program, while the joining the WB and approval of grant will resolve the issue on the level of international standards. The WB experts visited the country to meet with our experts. The grant is still to be approves and the formation of the commission is underway,” he noted

Under the project on utilization of the associate gas extracted from the Shallow-water Gunashli field it is planned to construct a compressor station 14, installed on Gunashli and 2 gas pipelines each with the length of 20km.

The utilization of the associate gas extracted from the Gunashli field will start 2007.
