The visit of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) to Azerbaijan is completed. “The key objective of the visit was to estimate the goal distribution of the finance and get familiar with the results of the Mingachevir energy project implemented jointly with Azerenerji JSC,” Mainul Hassan, the IDB specialist on estimation of projects, told the press service of Azerenerji, Trend reports
“It was one of the big projects partially credited by our bank. We signed the appropriate agreement with Azerbaijani government in October 1999,” Fakhraddin Khalifov, the expert of the same division, said. Azerenerji reconstructed the Mingachevir Hydro Power Station, constructed new Aghjabadi substation and the Aghdabadi-Barda electricity transmission line within the project that allow the company to improve energy supply of the region.
The IDB specialists visited all these objects and remained satisfied. According to Hassan, it will be included into the final report of the mission and have positive affect the perspectives of the further development of the bilateral cooperation.
