Barmek Azerbaijan, the operator of the energy distribution networks of Baku and Sumgayit, plans to carry out 100% collection of the payments for energy, the Company told Trend.
We are due to pay 100% of the funds received for distributed energy in Baku to Azerenerji JSC from January 2006. Therefore, we have to carry out full collection of fund. Our subscribers will be notified of the issue from 5 January. We plan to take serious measures, particularly, interruption of energy supply from 12 January in respect to marking of the Gurban Bayramy in the country from 10 to 11 January, the representatives of the Company said.
At present 20,000 subscribers in Baku and Sumgayit, as well as 6,000 subscribers in the Khachmaz region owe 80bn manats to the Company.
