The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) announced tender for sale of the tanker cargo of the profit oil from the Georgian Black Sea port Batumi. В"We expect that the oil shipment will be on 3-4 February from Batumi, SOCAR said. The tenders deadline is planned for 12 January.
The Oil terminal in Batumi is capable to handle up to 15 million tons of bulk oil cargo a year. The terminal operates tankers by the deadweight of 30,000-90,000 tons on four berths including the removable buoy for vessels of the Aframax class. The terminals tank farm capacity is currently about 530,000 tons, which is more than sufficient for handling of current and forecasted volumes, going through the corridor.
