Japanese Agency for International Cooperation will allocate grant to Azerenerji JSC

The Japanese Agency for International Cooperation (JICA) took a decision to allocate grant for up-dating the Mushvig substation of 220 kW, which is supplying the electrical power to the larger part of Baku, the Azerenerji Joint Stock Company (JSC) told Trend.

The JICA experts will arrive in Azerbaijan in early February to discuss the issues of funding and identification of the reconstruction works schedule, followed by the defining of the consulting company which will specify the amount, the volume of the supposed works at the substation, will elaborate the tender documentation and identify the general contractor.

The project implementation will be completed in 2007. Two transformers of the 200 MVA will be replaced by more updated ones per 250 MVA at the Mushvig substation. It will enable to increase reliability and quality of the energy consumed.
