The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) shipped in February 84,639 tons of Urals oil along the Baku-Novorossiysk northern pipeline route, SOCAR told Trend. In January 2006 no oil has been shipped over this route due to weather conditions. In January-February of the previous year 438,5 thousand tons have been shipped through the northern pipeline.
In 2005 SOCAR shipped 1,631 million tons of oil from Novorossiysk against 2,559 million tons in 2004. In December 2005 shipment of oil from Novorossiysk was 86,5 thousand tons against 167,2 thousand tons a month earlier and 166,3 th. tons in December 2004.
