The Heydar Aliyev oil refinery plant sets up commissioning of a catalytic cracking rig, which earlier stood for repair. The rig will be more probably commissioned on 27 March. It will enable to resume production of liquefied gas and increase of export of gasoline.

In the beginning of March the ORP resumed export of gasoline under different contracts, including supplies to Georgia. Export is carried out at the expense of excess reserves that the SOCAR possesses.

In December 2005 the SOCAR signed a contract with the Singaporean company Petrofarm on delivery of 50,000 tons of petrol in 2006. Oil product will be shipped for Petrofarm with FOB from pier 20, which belongs to Azerneftyag oil refinery plant of the SOCAR. Petrofarm will deliver petrol to the Iranian port Neka by tankers of CASPAR.

The SOCAR also has a contract with the Georgian state company Saknafotbrans on delivery of gasoline in 2006. It is planned to supply to this company 20,000 tons of petrol a month.
