Azerenerji holds negotiations with international finance institutes on crediting of some important projects, particularly, projects on reforming of energy distribution structure, Trend reports referring to a news release by Azerenerji.

From 1 March Azerenerji received the distribution networks of the western and the southern regions, earlier managed by Bayva, which left the market voluntarily.

According to Marlen Asgarov, the Vice-President of Azerenerji, the first task set before the Company in the reliable provision of the regions with energy is to install energy meters for control over the consumable energy.

Existence of energy meters in every home will force subscribers to use energy rationally and economically. Such attitude will lead to load reduction at local energy networks, their more stabile and uninterrupted functioning.

Asgarov admitted that energy sector was in bad conditions in the regions. Electricity transmission lines and transformers are not envisaged for current load. Their term expired.

The implementation of the program will require big investments. Azerenerji plans to attract a part of them as loans from local and foreign banks, he added.
