The UN Commissions Baku symposium on long development and energy efficiency is over. The participant sides adopted the Baku declaration as a result of the meeting.
Holding of similar meeting in Baku is very important to Azerbaijan, Trend reports quoting Natig Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Industry and Energy Minister. It allows the country to obtain the experience of increase of energy efficiency. According to Aliyev, at present Azerbaijans losses in the energy is very high. Azerbaijan needs experience of other countries to solve these problems.
The Baku symposium was organized by the UN Department for Economic and Social Affairs, and the Azerbaijani Industry and Energy Ministry
The Baku symposium on long development and energy efficiency was dedicated to efficiency in energy supply systems.
The participants of the symposium heard the reports on increase pf efficiency in energy supply systems, application of ecologically clean and profitable technologies in oil and gas production by the representatives of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Azerenerji JSC and others. The representatives of delegations from different countries also delivered reports at the symposium.
