Gobustan Operating Company, involved in the development of Southwest Gobustan contract area, is about to close the tender on conduct of 2D and 3D seismic survey in the Southwest Gobustan contract area, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, SOCAR told Trend.
3D seismic survey will be conducted in the Dashgil, Duvanniy and Kanizadagh fields, which are part of southwest Gobustan, in the area of 200 sq m, while 2D seismic survey is to be carried out in the Central and North blocs in the area of 480 sq m.
The tender will be closed shortly and seismic survey will be carried out this summer.
GOC is developing Southwest Gobustan under the PSA signed with SOCAR. In Gobustan Operating Company 80% stocks is holding Commonwealth Gobustan Limited, 20% belong to SOCAR. In Commonwealth Gobustan Limited 37.17% stock belongs to Arawak Energy and 62.83% to China National Petroleum Company.
