During 20 years, amounts of investments in hydrocarbons production was insufficient compared to demand for them, reportedly said Mahmud Hagani, Director General for oil&gas of Caspian region, Irans Ministry of Oil.
Hagani said for this reason China, Japan, India and Europe are in a heavy need in hydrocarbons. BTC pipeline will help bringing Azeri oil to Mediterranean Sea and partially satisfy Europes needs.
Iranian route is the best for oil transportation eastward, Hagani said. Besides, Iran is oen of the worlds leaders on oil and gas reserves.
