Azenerji AO has called for tender on rehabilitation of AzHPP in Mingachevir. Trend reports with reference to press service of AO, it is planned to perform tender procedures, define contractor and launch operations at the power plant by the end of the year.
The principal agreement on the project crediting was achieved with EBRD, and the relevant contract will be signed in short.
The tender procedure was reportedly agreed upon with EBRD and five companies dispatched requests for bids. These are DeCON, Vattenfall, Fichtner, Enprima and TEPCO.
Bids of said companies will be received within a month. Further, tender commission shall select the winner to provide consulting services by the end of July.
AzHPP is the largest power plant in Azerbaijan, which operates 8 blocks, 300 MW each. The rehabilitation project covers technical upgrade of seven blocks and chimney overhaul.
