Port Ceyhan to turn into Europe's largest terminal Turkish Foreign Ministry representative

In the closest future port Ceyhan will become Europes largest energy terminal, said Mithat Rende, deputy Director General of Department of Energy, water and Environment with Foreign Ministry of Turkey,Trend reports referring to Turkish media.

Rende also said pipeline Kerkuk-Yumurtalik, Kazakhstan's joining BTC project, new pipeline Samsun-Ceyhan, will allow turn port Ceyhan in energy supermarket for international companies. В"Port Ceyhan will outpace Western Europes largest port Rotterdam with its capacity 134mt of oil a year. This is quite a real planВ", - Rende continued.

Storage capacity of port Ceyhan that will receive crude oil from Caspian region is 945kt (7 tanks, 1mln bbl each).
