Sheki power plant to commission in August

Generators for module power plant erected in sheik have been delivered to port Baku. Trend reports with reference to press service of Azerenerji, the vessels are currently being unloaded. Upon generators clearance, they will be delivered to construction site and passed to contractor, Wartsila of Finland. 5 out of 10 generators needed for erection have been delivered to date, others shall arrive in short.

Director of Sheki power office Gulam Asadov said the facility is ready to
receive generators to handle in special area and get installed one-by-one. First 5 generators will be installed in generator hall В"BВ". All wiring here is alresday installed. Alongside, operations in generator hall В"AВ" will be complete to have it receive the rest 5 generators. 60-70% readiness is reported at the plant today. First delivery of generators to Sheki is performed June 25 and second July 8. Installation will take 5 days. Thus, both generator halls shall be subjected to testing by mid0July.

110kV substation has been constructed near the facility to transmit produced power to the distribution system. At the moment a pipeline is installed to supply gas for module generators.
