POGC and SOCAR haven't reached agreement on returning offshore field to development

Yet the Polish Oil and Gas Company (POGC) hasnt achieved an agreement with the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) on returning the offshore field Buzovna-Mashtaga to rehabilitation and development.

The sides have held several rounds of talks, and SOCAR hasnt been satisfied with several terms of POGC, Trend reports quoting SOCAR.

The Polish company wants to again return to Buzovna-Mashtaga, which earlier was considered in the plan of possible development, but then, POGC refused its intentions. An Understanding Memorandum was made between the companies.

The group of experts of POGC arrived in Baku at the end of May and held several meeting in SOCAR. The delegation of the company consisting of the geologists, specialists on development of fields and other experts (in general 7 persons) conducted a meeting with Khoshbakht Yusifzade, the vise-president of SOCAR on geology and geo-physic.

According to the information of SOCAR, the company may work in this process with other potential foreign investors.
