Power distribution system upgrade program is tightly linked to power supply fee collection, Trend reports with reference to press service of Azerenerji AO. For this reason, this aspect is paid a big attention; power industry workers and local authorities are assigned to ensure 100% collection of payments.

A significant breakthrough in collecting power fee was registered in many areas of the republic. In June, said director of Gabala power distribution network Fakhraddin Ahmedov, 59.6% of due fees have been collected. From this amount, population paid 43%. Only 11.5 out of over 16 thousand consumers in the area have paid the fees.

The primary objective, Ahmedov said, is to provide uninterrupted power supply to each house. However, this matter shall be regulated only alongside solving fees collection problem.

Ahmedov said tough steps are yet not taken against non-payers; the only thing being done is publishing their lists with request to show responsibility and effect payments and sending notices. According to the order of Azeri president, added Ahmedov, poor families dont have to pay for energy consumed.

He also said consumers inspection is about to complete in short, followed by large-scale counter installation program.
