This year nearly 1.2bn m3 of gas will be produced at Shah Deniz field in Azeri sector of Caspian Sea, said Natik Aliyev, minister of industry ad energy of Azerbaijan. В"We think this year Turkey will not be able to receive gas from this field and therefore Azerbaijan is ready to buy it allВ", he outlined.
During the talks with Shah Deniz project stakeholders, gas production amounts have been discussed one more time. It was earlier suggested that this year the field will give 850mln m3 of gas.
There was the fourth well drilled at the field that allowed estimate gas production in amount of 1.14 to 1.2bn m3 of gas by the end of the year, Aliyev said.
Under the contract, Shah Denix gas will be sold to Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia, apart from small part to be sold to BTC Co.
