I consider that at the moment there is no need to increase the internal prices of benzene. The raise of the prices of diesel fuel showed its positive results, Natig Aliyev, the Minister of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan, told Trend.

According to Aliyev, due to the raise of the price of diesel fuel, the negative facts of mixing different qualities of products, contraband due to low prices and other facts of illegal exportation were put an end.

Besides, the demand in the country for the diesel fuel decreased and this allowed the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan to export more volume of diesel fuel and receive more revenues.

In Aliyevs opinion, the raise of the benzene this year is not intended. It will depend on its price in the world market. While raise of benzene prices in the world market, the low prices in Azerbaijan may put problems. On the other hand, the state regulates its market, but on the other hand, there is a danger of contraband, told Aliyev.
