The Azerbaijani Minister for Industry and Energy Natik Aliyev met with the Director of the World Banks Infrastructure Department for Europe and Central Asia, Peter Tompson, and a WB representative in Azerbaijan, Gregory T. Jedrzejczak, WB Country Manager for Azerbaijan, the Ministry told Trend.
During the meeting the sides discussed the projects implemented with the bank in Azerbaijan and decided to continue talks in future.
Tompsons visit to the country, which will last will 2 August, targets discussing with the Azerbaijani government major fields of cooperation where is involved, as well as perspectives of participation in new projects. Discussion will all cover the energy, transport, water supply and sewerage fields under the Program on the treatment of oil and gas polluted lands of Absheron.
