The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) ha closed the tender for tanker load of profitable oil from port Batumi. The tender was awarded to Swiss trader Addax.
SOCAR officials told Trend Addax would ship ACG-produced 80k ton of Azeri Light oil (600k bbl) on August 2324 from Batumi.
In May Addax purchased 135k ton of SOCAR oil from Supsa and in June 80k ton from the same port.
Batumi oil terminal is capable of transshipping up to 15mln ton of oil and oil products a year. The terminal can service 30 to 90k ton tankers with its four moorings, including one single-point mooring for Aframax class vessels. At the moment the terminal tank farm capacity is nearly 530k ton, more than enough for transshipping the current and planned loads.
