At present, the fund of the active wells of Oil and Gas Production Unit Balakhanineft of the Production Union Azneft of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) totals 1,142 wells, Trend reports. Since the beginning of the year, the number of the wells in the active fund has increased by 14.
Since the beginning of the year, 19 wells have been transferred from inactive to the active fund, against the forecasted 16 wells. 1,452 tons of additional oil has been produced from them. Five wells have been put into operation after drilling.
