Caspian Integration Business Club Held Meeting with Azeri Minister of Industry and Energy

Today (September 27) the companies-members of the Caspian Integration Business Club (CIBC) have had a meeting with Natig Aliyev, the Minister of Energy and Industry, the Acting Co-Chairman in CIBC from the side of Azerbaijan with the view of activating the business-to-government dialogue, Trend reports.

In the course of the meeting Natig Aliyev spoke in details about the activity currently carried out by the Ministry and the projects implemented in such fields as FEC and industry.

At the meeting the Minister dwelt on the strategy carried out in the area of generating capacities, in particular, about construction of modular electric power stations. As for the power industry, the Ministry carries out work with the international corporations and financial institutions so as to get the opportunity to generate alternative kinds of energy in Azerbaijan and involve Azerbaijan plants engaged in petroleum machine-building in these projects, Natig Aliyev said.

Upon completion of the meeting the companies and the Minister of Energy and Industry of Azerbaijan held a discussion.

During the discussion the companies-CIBC members spoke about involvement of local business in the projects on oil transportation from Kazakhstan via the Aktau-Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan system, implementation of projects related to alternative energy generation and other projects as well.

The companies from Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Georgia, Ukraine, Latvia, Iran and other countries took part in the CIBC event.

As Telman Aliyev, the President and Chief Executive Officer of CIBC reported to CIBCNews, this meeting was one of those events carried out within preparation of companies-CIBC members for the meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
