Kamal Abbasov, earlier held office of the Chief of The Gas Department under SOCAR`s Marketing and Economic Operations Department has been appointed the Chief of the new Gas Operations Department of SOCAR, a source in SOCAR told Trend today.
Inayat Husseynov, earlier held office of the Head of the Caspian Data-Processing Centre of the Production Association Azneft has been appointed the Chief of the Information and Communication Department of SOCAR.
Soltan Aliyev, a specialist inn the area of ecology was appointed to the Head of Ecological Department of SOCAR.
The formation of the Ecological Department speaks about the priority of this direction in SOCAr`s activity. This office will carry out SOCAr`s ecological policy. Its tasks will include all issues in the sphere of ecology from monitoring to implementation of large scale projects, and their putting into force.
SOCAR needs its IT and Communication Department to create its general IT system 0 a centralized system. The Department will engage in policy in the sphere of IT of the Company.
Earlier, the Gas Department was within the Marketing and Economic Operations Department. At present, the Gas Operations Department has been established on its basis. The Department will engage in gas operations - gas buying, sale, production, including the gas produced on Azeri-Chiragh-Gunashli, Shahdaniz, as well as SOCAR`s gas imported from Russia.
