AIOC Passed 38.45 mln. cu.m. of Gas for SCP Testing

In September the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) produced and passed 0.01mln. cu.m. of gas for operations at South Caucasian Pipeline (SCP), SOCAR officials told Trend. During the four months 38.45mln cu.m. of gas in total has been passed.

Р'Р  and SCP project operator, launched the testing and commissioning of a new gas export system, filling the pipeline with gas at Sangachal Terminal. The first gas was delivered in late September 2006.

The gas for commissioning was pumped on 21 May from the Sangachal Terminal. The remainder of SCP will be tested in August after the gas is pumped in gas treatment units at Sangachal Terminal and offshore pipelines running from the Shah Deniz field.

It will take nearly 0.1bn cu.m. of gas to test the whole Shah Deniz SCP export system. SOCAR's petroleum gas produced at the ACG field is used for testing.
