Azerbaijan is not about to attract foreign companies to manage its electric power distributing networks Bakielektrikshabaka and Sumgayitelektrikshabaka, Yagub Eyyubov, the first Vice-Premier of the Azerbaijani Government told, Trend reports.

According to him, the companies which were established to manage these networks can perfectly fulfill their works themselves. He also added that a delivery-acceptance of these companies from Barmek Holding is under its completion now.

At present, an audit of investment put and delivery-acceptance from the company are under way now. Notably, all that is the result of Barmek`s canceling the contract on managing these two distributing companies. Turkey`s Barmek has managed the Baku Electricity Supply Distributing Network since the beginning of 2002. The term of that management was considered for 25 years. The Sumgayit Network (including several networks of the Northern region of the country) was handled over to Barmek`s management in October, 2002. In addition, at the end of 2004, Barmek privatized the Baku Electromechanical Equipment Works, which was canceled later as well.
