Azerbaijan to Ship 385,000 Tons of Oil from Novorossiysk in November

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) plans to ship 385,000 tons of Ural via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline in November 2006. SOCAR stated to Trend that the Azerbaijani International Operating Company (AIOC) plans to load 150,000 tons of oil in two tankers, while SOCAR will load 235,000 tons of crude by 2 tanks

In November the AIOC will ship 75,000 tons of oil (on 7-8 Nov) from pier 2 of the port. SOCAR will ship 230,000 tons, 145,000 tons from Pier 1, and 85,000 tons from Pier 2 on 29-30 November and 21-22 November respectively.

AIOC produces Azeri Light from Azeri-Chrag-Gunashli fields and exports crude oil via BTC, the Baku-Supsa, the northern pipeline and by the Azerbaijani-Georgian railway to Batumi.

SOCAR produces and exports oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields on equal rights with the AIOC and also lifts crude in other onshore and offshore fields at own expense. During 2005 SOCAR shipped 1.631mln tons of oil from Novorossiysk compared to 2.559mln ton in 2004
