Jan Subhi, the Research and Production Director of BP Turkey, has announced that under the program on environmental protection and socio-economic development, located near the Turkish section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC), Ankara has received non-interest support to the amount of $12.45 mln, Trend reports.
Research has shown that there are 507 types of plants, which grow only in Turkey, as well as 44 types of rare animals.
$9 mln will be spent on the development of villages and $3.45 mln on the rehabilitation and protection of fauna and flora, Subhi said. BTC lies along 300 settlements of Turkey.
