In October 2006 the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) shipped 239,909 tons of oil against 78,640 tons in October 2005. Over the first 10 months the SOCAR has shipped 942,000 tons of oil against 1, 377ln in 2005, Trend reports.
In November SOCAR sold 1,204mln tons of oil from Novorossiysk. Two cargoes (584mln tons and 620mln tons) were purchased by Glencore Energy UK Ltd. The shipment was carried out on November 7-8 and November 18-19.
During 2005, SOCAR shipped 1.631mln ton of oil from Novorossiysk compared to 2.559mln ton in 2004.
