Salyan Oil Operating Company will commence drilling of its 5th production well on the onshore field Kursangi-Garabaghli within two weeks, a source in the Company informed Trend.
At present the Company has been faced with difficulties regarding the allocation of land for drilling. Once this has been resolved the company will continue drilling, although it may be possible that they may find another position.
Work on the well is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
Earlier, the Company completed drilling the 4th well. According to representatives of the Company, the projected depth of the well is 3,744 m. At present, it is being developed. This will be an operation oil well.
According to the Company, this year, 5 wells are most likely to be drilled, not 8 as was expected earlier. This has been due to problems which have arisen during the implementation of the work.
