The production wells fund of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) (including joint-stock enterprises and operation companies working in the Country) has, over the past 11 months of 2006, reached 6,111 wells. The corresponding period in the first ten months of the year was 6,188, the Press Service of SOCAR stated, Trend reports.
During the reporting period (11 months of 2006), 4,089 wells out of the total number (4,758 over the past 10 months of the year) are in SOCAR's acting fund, 1,310 (1,419 over the past 10 months of the year) are in the non-acting fund. 12 wells (11 in past 11 months over 2006) are under development at present.
